Page 180: Caption for Figure 9-10 should be corrected to indicate Southern (not Northern) Hemisphere (but see below for new figure for Northern Hemisphere).

Figure 9-5: Gyre in southern hemisphere should be rotating counterclockwise. Click here for revised figure.

Figure 9-10: As depicted in the text, the wind and current patterns hold for the southern hemisphere. However, east-facing coasts and upwelling are rare (though it occurs, the only major So Hemi east coast upwelling center is off the coast of Somalia--see Figure 14-9). We have revised this figure for west facing coasts in the Northern Hemisphere. We'll gladly configure this figure for other coasts. Just e-mail us. Click here for revised figure.
